Nashville Public Television seeks a Customer Service Representative responsible for

providing optimal customer service to NPT callers and visitors. This position is also

responsible for providing support to NPT’s Administration and Development

departments as needed. This full-time position is 30 hours per week (Monday through

Friday). Specific duties include:

 Answers incoming telephone calls via multiple telephone line system in a courteous

and timely manner, and screens and routes calls appropriately.

 Welcomes and directs visitors to appropriate NPT staff or tenant organization.

 Researches and responds to viewer and member inquiries via telephone and e-mail,

and develops and distributes viewer service reports.

 Ensures the mailroom, copier room, meeting rooms, break room, and office supply

area are fully equipped and operational.

 Provides general administrative support to the Administration and Development

departments and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: High school diploma required. Experience answering multiple telephone

lines and working in a business environment. Basic computer working knowledge,

preferably in Microsoft Office. Excellent customer service skills; good verbal and written

communication skills. Team-oriented.

The ideal candidate will produce daily newscasts and oversee production of newscasts and special programming. You will work closely with producers and reporters on daily selection and coverage. As a newsroom leader, the expectation is that the Executive Producer will lead by example.

Some additional responsibilities of our Executive Producer will include:

Oversee morning newscast to ensure we are serving our local communities by sharing relevant information to alert, protect and empower our audiences

Supervise producers and reporters, as well as, review scripts and provide feedback to encourage powerful storytelling

Handle breaking news situations to empower and grow our audiences

Collaborate with the News Director and other station managers to create special segments

Planning and overseeing continuity into upcoming newscasts

Proven track record of creating compelling and engaging stories across multiple platforms

Ability to perform well under pressure, experience managing breaking news and meeting strict deadlines
